Three firework displays are planned for Buile Hill Park, beginning with the quieter Little Sparks display for younger children and families.
The Firecracker display will follow before the main finale. Other attractions include a funfair, food and drink stalls, marshmallow toasting and a fire walk.
Visitors travelling by car are encouraged to pre-book parking at Buile Hill Park to help avoid congestion.
At Prince’s Park, the Sunday event will include a bonfire, funfair and food and drink stalls. Two musical firework displays are planned for the first time this year, and parking will be free.
Councillor Barbara Bentham, Salford City Council’s lead member for neighbourhoods, environment and community safety, said, “The three different displays mean families can choose what works best for them, including our quieter Little Sparks display for younger children.”
She added, “Then on Sunday we’ll be bringing the celebrations to Irlam, where Prince’s Park will offer the more traditional experience with a bonfire alongside the fireworks and funfair entertainment.”
Visitors are advised to wear suitable footwear as the ground may be muddy. Lighting will be provided, but some areas will be dark and visitors should follow event signage.
